Tour Overview
Spiti Valley, often referred to as "Little Tibet," is a mesmerising cold desert mountain valley situated in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Nestled high in the Himalayas, Spiti is renowned for its stunning landscapes, ancient monasteries, and unique cultural heritage. The valley lies at an altitude ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 meters (9,800 to 13,000 feet) and is bordered by Tibet to the east, Ladakh to the north, Kinnaur to the southeast, and Lahaul to the west.
Itinerary
Board your AC semi-sleeper bus from Delhi to Shimla. Enjoy the comfortable overnight journey through the hills.
Drive through Sangla Valley to reach Chitkul — the last Indian village before the Indo-Tibetan border. Enjoy snow-covered landscapes and traditional Himachali hospitality. Overnight stay in Chitkul.
Travel along the stunning Sutlej–Spiti gorge. Visit Khab Sangam, where the Sutlej meets the Spiti River, and explore Nako Lake, frozen in winter. Arrive in Tabo and rest.
Morning visit to Tabo Monastery, then we drive to Dhankar, perched dramatically on a cliff overlooking two rivers.
It’s one of those places that truly defines Spiti — ancient, silent, and full of soul.
By evening, we reach Kaza, the main town of Spiti Valley.
Overnight stay in Kaza.
Today’s about exploring life above 13,000 ft.
We start with the legendary Key Monastery, where monks chant as the valley lies frozen below.
Then head to Kibber, one of the highest inhabited villages, and walk across Chicham Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in Asia.
Overnight stay in Kaza.
A full day exploring Spiti’s iconic high-altitude villages:
Langza: Fossil village with the giant Buddha statue.
Komic: The highest motorable village in Asia.
Hikkim: Drop a postcard from the world’s highest post office.
Return to Kaza by evening for dinner, warmth, and endless stories.
Overnight stay in Kaza.
We begin our journey back through snow-covered valleys, reaching Kalpa, a charming town overlooking the mighty Kinner Kailash range.
It’s the perfect place to unwind, watch the sunset over the peaks, and reflect on the road behind.
Overnight stay in Kalpa.
Drive back to Shimla and take and board your overnight bus back to Delhi
